Why gather.
Some questions need more than one discipline and more than one way of seeing. EGI makes space for people to meet across those boundaries without asking the work to become simpler first.

We care about what someone is trying to understand, make or change. A useful gathering can sharpen a question, reveal a technical objection, begin a collaboration or open a direction that was difficult to see alone.
More than an event.
The value is not the gathering by itself. It is the work, relationships and possibilities that can continue afterwards.
